Bachelor of Education Practicums
K/1 Classroom Experience (third and fourth practicum)
In the classroom I taught, daily differentiated instruction was necessary to address the needs of my diverse learners. By actively employing a universal design model, I was able to meet many of the students’ needs through various methods.
Grade 5/6 Classroom Experience (second practicum)
In this classroom, I instructed students in two subjects: science and mathematics, covering topics such as the rock cycle and angles. Nearly half of my students had an Individual Education Plan (IEP). This practicum experience fostered the development of a growth mindset and prompted me to re-evaluate my teaching methods. I employed innovative teaching tools to enhance student engagement.
Grade 6/7 Classroom Experience (first practicum)
My teaching centered on the English Language Arts curriculum, with lesson plans dedicated to prefixes, roots, and suffixes. I had the fortunate opportunity to join the class on a field trip, which provided an enriching out-of-classroom experience. Additionally, I participated in parent-teacher conferences.
