Timeline Assignment from EDEF 3100
For this assignment, our expectation to create a timeline for my journey into the current educational path as a an educator. There are eight different memorable points on this timeline. I chose to record audio on my timeline. This assignment gave me an opportunity to examine my own journey into who I have become today and aim to become in the future. It reminds me that we are built up by those who influence us. It is a reminder that I too am one of those influential people who have the opportunity to influence the lives of others around me. I know that I must be mindful of my own journey as it can have an affect on those around me.
Our group Presentation on Inclusive Education I find to be an excellent topic for discussion. I am personally extremely passionate about this topic. I believe that every child has the right to be educated in an inclusive classroom regardless of mental and physical capabilities in addition to race, ethnicity etc. A classroom should be welcome to and supportive of all students that enter it. This is our role as educators to create such a space.
